Cake Smash Sessions are SO FUN! | Framingham, MA
Cake smash sessions are a fun way to celebrate a 1 year old birthday. They are a mystery….we really don’t know what will happen when you put an entire cake in front of a baby. But, I can promise you this - it will be a wonderful story. If the baby cries…awesome! Let’s get that on camera. If the baby makes a mess…awesome! Let’s get that on camera. If the baby totally ignores the cake and plays with balloons instead…awesome! It’s all perfect and in the end we will get wonderful photos of your baby at 1 year old.
Just a warning, It’s a mess! lol!
What to expect at your 4 - 6 month baby photography session | Weston, MA
During your baby’s first year, you will most likely see your baby photographer multiple times to capture all the awesomeness of year 1. Some parents like to come to the studio at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. Others prefer 4, 8, 12 months. Both ways are wonderful and I would be happy to take you through the benefits of both.
As you think about what months you are going to get your baby’s photos taken, I would encourage you to consider what milestones you would love to capture. My most popular requests are: toe grabbing, newly sitting (but not yet crawling), and 1 year.
Toe grabbing has a short little window. The best time (in my experience) to get this pose is right around 5 and 6 months old. Typically these babies cannot sit on their own yet, but are fantastic rollers and love to make eye contact with the camera.
This is also a wonderful time for blanket over the head or peek-a-boo images. Babies love to hide under the blanket and be seen. They have wonderful arm strength and these images are always a WOW!
Babies love to grab their toes right around 5 months old.
Cakeamash Photography Session | Boston, MA
Ready for a Cake Smash!! Let’s do it! I provide the cake and the decor - all you need to bring is the baby!
When you arrive to the studio, we will start photographing your baby without the cake…that way if they don’t love the cake we still have lots of great baby photos.
In this session, the baby loved the session but wasn’t crazy about the cake. We did not have a smash, but we do have cute photos. What more could we ever need!?
Newborn Session for a Girl | Boston, MA
My favorite way to put together a session is to work with color to create a cohesive look across all the images. When that is done, we can put together wall art, albums and print collections that look amazing together. When thinking about your newborn session, be sure to consider how you will use your images. Think of the colors of your home and nursery. You are going to want to hang this art on your walls of your home!
